Location - Hampshire and Sussex

Salary Package

  • £35 - 37,000 basic per annum


  • Company car, laptop, mobile phone, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holiday. Simply Health and Pension. Training for NVQ 3 or 4 in Management.
  • Reporting to: Branch Manager

    An exciting opportunity has become available, our client, a leading Lift company are currently looking for a Field Repair Manager to manage the lift repair works team covering areas within Hampshire, Sussex and the South Coast. This will involve small lift works up to and including major refurbishments and new Lift installations.

    Purpose
    The role of the Field Repair Manager is critical to the success of our business. In managing our field workforce, the FRM has a very significant impact on our performance.

    We recognise that our FRM will contribute to our operations in many ways. Some of their activities will go beyond what is normally understood to be central to their role: these activities will reflect the local needs of the business and the interests / skills of the individual Manager. However, it is essential that the core responsibilities of the role are achieved as a minimum.

    The Overall Purpose Of The Role Of The FRM Is
  • To manage our field workforce in the following five key areas:
  • Health and Safety
  • Quality
  • Productivity
  • Budget for Minor Repairs and Major Repairs
  • Customer Service
  • For each of these key areas, you will ensure that you, and your team, achieve the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management
  • fully engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations
  • consistently demonstrate appropriate commercial awareness so that we achieve our required levels of profitability
  • have the necessary skills, knowledge and capabilities
  • You will consistently demonstrate a leadership style which supports our company values as detailed in our Company Behaviour Standards
  • Essential Criteria/ Qualifications
  • Previous Experience of working within the lift industry, NVQ 3 in Lift Technology minimum
  • 5 years previous management experience (NVQ 3 or 4 in management would be particularly desirable but not essential as there will be the option to train for this)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • General: PC Literate to a high standard
